Quality

Quality in every stage, written down and checked

Quality in agricultural supply is not a claim you can make at the end. It is decided in the field, protected after harvest, and confirmed before dispatch — so that is where we put the effort.

Where quality is decided

Three stages that decide what arrives

By the time a consignment reaches grading, most of its quality has already been determined. Sorting can only decide what to do about it.

  1. At source

Variety, crop management and harvest timing are planned against where the product is going and how long it has to get there. Fruit picked for a two-day journey is not fruit picked for a two-week one.

  2. At intake

Product is checked against the agreed specification before it enters our handling. A problem caught here belongs to the lot it came from; the same problem caught after dispatch belongs to your customer.

  3. Before dispatch

Nothing leaves without a condition check against the specification on the order, with the result recorded and the specification travelling with the consignment.

Records

A specification both sides can hold up

Most quality disputes in agricultural supply are not really about quality. They are about two parties measuring against different documents, or against no document at all.

So grade, size, condition, packing and acceptance criteria are agreed in writing before an order is confirmed, and the consignment is checked against that document rather than against expectations nobody wrote down.

  • A written specification agreed before the order is confirmed
  • What was found recorded, not only whether it passed
  • Lot identification maintained from intake to dispatch
  • The specification issued with the consignment

Our approach

Why there are no certification logos on this page

A row of scheme logos is easy to put on a page and tells a buyer very little about how a supplier actually works. We would rather show you the method and answer directly on any standard your procurement requires.

  • No certification is claimed anywhere on this site.
  • If a scheme matters to your procurement, ask and we will answer plainly.
  • Specifications and acceptance criteria are agreed in writing per programme.
  • What we check and record is set out above rather than implied by a badge.

Documentation

What is issued with a consignment

As standard, not on request. If you need a particular format for your own system, tell us at quotation stage and we will match it.

  • Delivery note with every consignment
  • The agreed specification the consignment was checked against
  • Lot identification for traceability back through our handling
  • Packing and labelling to the format agreed with you
  • Additional documentation where a destination or buyer requires it

Next step

Test it on a trial consignment

The fastest way to judge a supplier’s quality claims is to place a small order and inspect what arrives. We would encourage exactly that.

We reply to every enquiry within one working day.
